Before your shoot or your Hair & Makeup session.....

Written by Beauty Brought Out. Posted in Tips & Tricks

This quick checklist of "Do's & Dont's" will help you get prepared for your next shoot or makeover session. When the models are prepared it makes the jobs of the Stylist and the Photographer much easier which allows them to focus more on making you look your best!

Your Face

DO...
  • Moisturize your face to avoid any flaking of dead/dried skin
  • Exfoliate your lips that same morning make sure you apply lip moisturizer right after… to do this, just brush across your lips gently with your toothbrush, while brushing your teeth. This will remove any dead/dry skin on your lips. This will also stimulate them, causing them to plump slightly.
  • Remove ALL make-up.
  • Get plenty of sleep.
  • EAT SOMETHING! - You will get light headed holding poses if you do not eat.

DO NOT...
  • Get a facial 14 days or less prior to photo shoot.
  • Tweeze/wax eyebrows 24 hours prior to a photo shoot.
  • Use self tanner on your face.
  • USE ANY SHIMMER STUFF ANYWHERE ON YOUR FACE OR BODY! Even if, "it has just a little" Shimmer acts as a reflector when the flash hits it.

Your Hair

DO...

  • Shampoo and condition your hair.

DO NOT...

  • Condition your roots 24 hours prior to a photo shoot.
  • Use any gels, oils, leave-in conditioners or any other products that will flake or weigh your hair down.
